School of Failure

"Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."

— Samuel Beckett

School of Failure is a collection of workshops, created and facilitated by Eliza Sanders, for artists who know that getting it wrong is how you get it right.

We celebrate awkwardness, honour the ugly middle, and collect failures like they're going out of style. Because they're not — failure is how we learn, how we break through, how we make anything worth making.

This is creative practice as liberation from perfectionism, productivity culture, and the tyranny of having it all figured out.

You will fail here. Good.

“Eliza Sanders is a brilliant teacher who is always sensitive to energy and needs in the room at any given time. I love how she makes classes equally valuable for a diverse range of people, and I always feel welcome regardless of my experience, physical ability or energy that day.”

— Bethany Miller, multiple workshop participant
